It all came about through the work, dedication, and passion of the late Johnnie Parker, who took the Ralphie reins in and elevated her into a college football icon. It was one of those friendships that was just such a great part of that era. He really immersed himself in the program and made it something special. Our team culture and safety also depends on player leadership that reflects the positive character of Falcon football. The revelation of hazing and harassment has reminded us that our system depends on individuals having the courage to care for each other, even when that care might create some personal discomfort or risk.

Coach Flores and I will meet with the team on Monday to give our student-athletes definite closure to these incidents while also resetting expectations for the rest of the season. We will ask all athletes and their parents to recommit to behavioral expectations in the FHS athletic handbook.

In closing, it bears repeating that the safety of students, families, and staff on our campuses is non-negotiable. We encourage all of our students and families to stay alert and report any suspicious activity. We thank you for your trust, understanding, and support in this matter. To ensure the safety of our student-athletes as the investigation continues, we are suspending all activities related to the FHS football program until further notice. The safety of students, families, and staff is non-negotiable.

We are working diligently to analyze multiple reports and review testimony and other evidence, which adds to the complexity of the investigation. We remain committed to investigating all serious claims until we reach an appropriate, supported conclusion. Due to personnel and student privacy obligations, we will not disclose specific allegations or findings except with individuals who have a need to know for safety or accountability reasons.
