I had the same problem with Studio version 9 for many months until Pinnacle finally released enough bug-fixes to correct what should have been corrected when released. Studio 10 was shipped back for a complete refund; however, it took almost as much time to get an RMA number from Pinnacle as it did trying to get their software to work. Pinnacle's big selling feature of Studio 10 is that it is built on their Pinnacle Liquid platform -- also another seriously flawed product!
Pros: Additonal audio functions and filters. Pinnacle user interface has always been one of the best. Cons: First of all, I have been using Pinnacle 8 for over 2 years with very few problems and 8 is fast. This is sloooooooow. I mean pathetic when it comes to perfomance on both Athlon XP and Athlon Everytime I run it I find a bug.

So I followed the trouble shooting by "fine tuning" as they say to improve performance. I fine tuned everything infintely possible that I can think of but this piece of digital garbage still refuses to work.
I have been pulling my hair out literally for months trying every possible solution. No version of this is worth as much as the box it is packaged in.

So, the first bit of good news is that this could be the Studio 10 we had hoped to see in the first place. However, existing users of version 10 can install This effects pack includes 25 new filters. The 25 new effects include a host of wacky visual filters, ranging from Bevel Crystal, Mirage and Mosaic, which pattern the video kaleidoscopically, to superimposed fractal animations.
Most of these effects have a decent number of controls, so you can tweak them to get exactly the look you want.
The best inclusions are the Advanced versions of filters, basic versions of which were already available within Studio 10 Plus. These give you a lot more control over parameters. For example, Old Film Advanced lets you alter the intensity of grain, dust, scratches and hair, plus it can toggle whether trapped hair occurs — and you can keyframe all of these as well.
You get similarly greater control with Lens Flare Advanced, and the advanced water effects.
