Does anyone use this brand of turning tools? What do you think of them as far as how long they hold an edge? I know they are M2 HSS but we all know that can mean different things depending on the brand. Ed McDonnell Member. The first one received looked like it had been made by dragging a bar of steel behind a truck across OZ. Packard Woodworks replaced it and the replacement is great. Takes a sharp edge and holds it well. One of my favorite and most used tools. That said, my gouges are all at least 5 years old.
Hopefully current production is still just as good, but who knows. Maybe some of the members from down under will comment on current production and why they stopped. Thanks Ed.
